Rhythm City’s ‘Fats’ becomes the third Molepo to join the ‘Skeem Saam’ cast
Today will mark a new chapter probably the life after Rhythm City for Mpho Molepo who will be making his debut on Skeem Saam today 19 July 2021. The seasoned actor joins the hit soapie after Rhythm City aired its last episode on the 16th of July. The etvs drama series was canned late last year. However, in the mix of things, it will be replaced by the House of Zwide.
In the wake of Rhythm City cancellation, several casts members have already secured a new gig and Fats played by Mpho Molepo is one of them. Mpho will be joining Skeem Saam. Of interest is the fact that he will be starring along with his father and will become the third Molepo to join the cast.
Well, three generations of Molepos on Skeem Saam. Mpho Joseph Molepo from ‘Generations: The Legacy’ played the first Charles Kunutu. Rhythm City actor Mpho Molepo recently got candid about joining his real-life dad Arthur Molepo on Skeem Saam.
Fats Mpho Molepo who plays will take over from the late Karabo Mokhubela who played the first Jazzy T. Jazzy T is a well-known DJ, who produces music and is friends with Eric Macheru’s character. Jazzy T will debut on July 19!

Molepo’s father Arthur Molepo portrays the role of Captain Malebana. Mpho is the third Molepo to join the show after Mpho Joseph Molepo played the role of the first Charles Kunutu in seasons one and two of Skeem Saam.
Masilo Magoro took over the role and plays the role of Charles Kunutu. Mpho Joseph Molepo currently plays the role of Kabisi Moroka on Generations: The Legacy. However, it was recently reported that Former Imbewu: The Seed actress Fundiswa Zwane joins Skeem Saam.
No doubt she got the plug and the bling too. She has been making all sorts of headlines of late. Her onscreen character of ‘KaMadonsela’ made her one of the most celebrated star actresses in Mzansi.
However, it has been reported that Fundiswa Zwane will be part of the SABC 1’s educational drama series; Skeem Saam. Former Imbewu actress; Fundiswa will play the character of Sfiso’s wife ‘Nandi’. Fundiswa makes her debut on the 27th of July 2021.
