At first, Mohale indicated that he was not interested in any assets of Somizi. Well, rumour has it that Mohale has indicated that he will opt for assets if Somizi doesn’t cooperate. Word of the street has it that Somizi is not willing to go for a divorce despite Mohale willing to call it quits.

Media personality Somizi Mhlongo and his estranged husband, actor Mohale Motaung have both confirmed their divorce by releasing statements to their respective Instagram accounts over the weekend. Although Mohale claims he only wants his clothes and a car from the divorce, he said that he will go for 50% of Somizi’s assets if he does not get a car.
“By law, I’m supposed to be getting 50% off whatever that you own. If you are refusing to give me the car then we are going to go the big lawyer route where you are now going to be forced to give me half of your assets,” continued Mohale.

Aside from Somizi Mhlongo popular role as a judge on Idols SA which he recently stepped down from, his career extends to actor, singer, dance, author, chef, brand ambassador, television presenter and more. Dipping his talents into various streams earned him a net worth of $5 million according to the publication which equates to R73 million.
When married in a community of property, your spouse is entitled to 50% of your assets in the case of a divorce. So Mohale may claim 50% of Somizi’s assets which range from his five houses to six cars. Here’s a look.
