New Music: Limpopo’s finest King Monada and Makhadzi teases new song
The moment we have all been waiting for is upon us. Yes, that much-awaited collaboration is almost done and it’s a smash that can turn into a global hit. No doubt Limpopo is proving to be a musical powerhouse of late. King Monada ad Makhadzi teased Mzansi with their new project and Mzansi definitely cant wait.
Limpopo’s finest Makhadzi and King Monada are gearing up in the studio to release a banger. A clip from the two of them in the studio has gone viral and Mzansi cannot wait to hear the full song.
In the song, Makhadzi collaborates with both King Monada and Prince Benza. Twitter is already set ablaze just by the short studio session they all had. Tweeps already want the two to not only collaborate on a song but instead should make a joint album.
It’s not the first time we have seen such collaborations of late coming from Limpopo. However, the date of release is yet to be indicated as well as the title.
However, the short clip shared on Twitter thrust the two into top trending artists on Twitter. The project comes a few weeks after Makhadzi was snubbed from the annual awards. The controversial awards sparked an uproar on social media.

Celebrated musicians such as Kelly Khumalo lashed out at the organizers of the award and even threaten to turn down her nominations.
It was recently reported that “The SAMAs fails to recognize Limpopo”: Mzansi fumes over Makhadzi snub. The SAMAs are trending for the wrong reasons and they have been since declared biased and out of context. Several star performers this year were snubbed from the awards nominees despite being outstanding performers. Boity was even nominated for an Album award yet she doesn’t even have one.
Cassper Nyovest was snubbed too. Kelly Khumalo recently told the organisers of the awards to pull her songs out of the awards after she felt that she deserved more and the awards were biased as they left out many top performers who raised the bar for Mzansi across the continent.
However the main topical issue was the snubbing of Makhadzi. Yes, she was snubbed by the SAMAs this year and it seems her fans will not be taking it lying down.
Taking to social media, many Makhadzi fans raged over how the awards seem to have an aversion to artists from Limpopo. This comes after Limpopo-born Master KG was also rejected after he submitted Jerusalema for consideration.
