Elaine hints on dropping new music

Sad girl season is upon us as Elaine gives a sneak peek of what seems to be a new song. Going on her Instagram live, she mesmerizes fans with her glow up and a few seconds of good music. Some suggest that the song is her new project, a song called If I could featuring Drake and Sampha. Although it is yet to be confirmed, fans are already excited. Follow this link to listen.

The singer makes waves with her hit songs You are the one and Risky to which her EP goes platinum. It is on her Risky video that she hints on signing with Columbia Records last year and she is making waves still.

The Venda singer is sharing labels with big wigs in the music industry including Beyonce, Adele, John Legend, Solange among others.

At the age of 20, Elaine becomes the first independent female to top the charts on African Apple Music. She clearly isn’t just a pretty face but she has the brains and the flair to go with it. Elaine’s stardom lies in her name which loosely translates to “shining star”. The songstress’ passion ignites at a tender age of 6.

“I remember the owner of the pre-school came to me and gave me a solo. This solo was ‘Silent Night’ and girl, that’s when my career took off. This was my time to shine, and I think from the moment I sang that solo, I knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life,” she says.

Knowing the clout her voice possesses, Elaine keeps her team small. As a young adult from “Generation Z”, she understands the influence the internet has and so she self-releases the first project. Her debut EP Elements drops in September 2019, reaching number 1 on both the national iTunes and Apple Music album chart.

To everyone’s disbelief, Elements is certified Platinum by RISA a year after its primary release. Furthermore, it gets a nomination for Best R&B/Soul Album at the 26th South African Music Awards. It’s only her first project and already Elaine is the most streamed female artist from South Africa on Spotify .
