South African R&B musician Elaine has signed with American Record label Columbia Records where icons such as Beyonce and Adele belong.

Elaine won the hearts of South Africans with her debut 2019 EP ‘Elements’ and now he is being recognized internationally.

The announcement comes just two hours after Elaine released her brand new music video for ‘Risky’. and it came with a subtle hint that she is now dealing with an international recording label, in the beginning her music video.

Congratulatory messages have flooded social media soon after the announcement with many fans highlighting the potential the artist possess.

Watch Elaine’s Risky video below:

Columbia Records is an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America, the North American division of Japanese conglomerate Sony. It was founded on January 15, 1889, evolving from the American Graphophone Company, the successor to the Volta Graphophone Company. The organisation has dozens of prominent artists signed to them such as Davido and John Legend.

Columbia records is also home to one of South Africa’s most successful DJ Black Coffee. His Bio on the record label’s website reads, Without bluster or overblown hype, Black Coffee has doggedly worked himself into the position of being not just South Africa’s foremost electronic music artist, but one of the biggest playas on the planet. He has worked with megastars such as Drake and David Guetta.”

South Africans hope the same will be written of Elaine if she succeeds with the label founded in 1889. Elaine will benefit from the wealth off experience that the label has accumulated over the years.
