Mzwandile Ngubeni joins The River where he is going to play the role of Elvis Baloyi a pilot who has a hand in the helicopter crash. He has been off-screen for at least 5-years and it seems as if The River has brought the star actor back to our screens. Mzwandile is the latest actor to join the River cast.
His much-talked-about return marks his rebirth if not second life on Tv after a 5-year absence. In the wake of Tumi exit, Mzwandile Ngubeni will star as a pilot who had a hand in the crush of the helicopter that claimed the life of Tumi. The actor will be starring Elvis Baloyi in the hit drama series.

“Elvis Baloyi is that type of a man who grew up without much of a charm. He is a pilot who has serious traits of toxic masculinity. He was not admired by many but he finally makes it life and now he was just after what life didn’t offer him whilst growing.”

Mzwandile Ngubeni had a 5-year hiatus from wowing Mzansi on the screens. He had taken a break to put more focus on his thriving business. Mzandile is one of the several actors who own their own media companies. The star actor is the owner of Mazothe Media. His company mainly focus on marketing and communications.
Mzwandile opened up on how the entertainment industry has changed compared to 5-years back.
“The Tv has changed and it now has a different vibe compared to back then. It’s now fast-paced and digitalised. Now it requires one to go an extra mile and not only to be confined to his brilliance. One surely needs to do outside the box. Back then we just went on set and acted and call it a day but one can tell the new way is far much better and advanced in every way.”
Before his disappearance from our screens, he was a reckoning force in the industry. He is best known for his stellar performances on Generations, Isidingo, Backstage and Justice for all, he has starred in several screenplays and has won awards along the way.
