Moshidi slams Larona’s acting skills
The entertainment industry is not for the faint hearted and quite a survival of the fittest. Most keep their seats through undisputed skills. If one does not exhibit the skills needed then it becomes inevitable to be canned. Speaking to Drum, Moshidi Motshegwa opens up about an example of an actress with acting dexterities which she refers to as poor.
Describing her work relationship with Larona Moagi on The River, the veteran actress has this to say.
”It was very difficult to work with Larona. We can’t cast people from Instagram, give them a huge role and not give them support. Moshidi continued to add:”I even said at the meeting(with producers) that Larona is struggling because she is not an actress and has been given a huge role to play. This is a craft. It is a skill.”
This is not the first time that Moshidi has slammed dismal performances in the industry. The actress had a knack for butting heads with writers for writing boring scripts and almost bites off Larona‘s head off for bad acting.
‘I always challenged the directors, I phoned Gwydion( Executive Producer and Writer) and told him this does not make sense. She continued to add:” I completely and totally invested in this character. I didn’t short change her,” Moshidi defends her diva attitude.
Moshidi slams Larona’s acting skills
When I start varsity, my intentions are to go into acting, I plan on studying drama at Wits, I actually sign up for drama at first but only did it for a week because it wasn’t as fulfilling as I thought it would be.was basically caught in two worlds; I felt I needed to choose between passion and talent or doing something that I have always wanted to do, which was law.
I felt like I could’ve done both but eventually ended up doing law so acting was something I was going to push on the side. Telling myself I would continue with auditions and try to get my name out there as much as I can, in 2017 luck was on my side, she adds.
