Baby Cele-Maloka, Gabisile Mdletshe reveals why she left Uzalo
Baby Cele-Maloka who plays Gabisile Mdletshe in Uzalo has revealed the reason why she is leaving the SABC 1 soapie.
The veteran actress confirmed last month that she was leaving Uzalo leaving fans of the soapie heartbroken.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Cele-Maloka dismissed reports there was any bad blood between her and the Uzalo production team. She said she had left Uzalo because she managed to land a role on a new drama to be produced by Uzalo makers, Stained Glass Productions.

The actress will make her last appearance on Uzalo between February and March next year. She said she was taking a break from Uzalo so she can have ample time to focus on her new role.
Cele-Maloka also revealed she will be relocating from Kwa-Zulu Natal to Johannesburg for the new drama shoot. She said the break from Uzalo will also ensure she has enough time to spend with her family.
She said she will disappear for a while from Uzalo but will make a return when fans of the soapie least expect it.
Cele-Maloka also thanked her bosses at Stained Glass Productions for giving her a break on Uzalo and time to heal.
The actress is also popular for her role as Portia on ‘My Perfect Family’. She started her acting career in the musical Sarafina at the tender age of 16. She joined Inkaba in 2012 and was part of the cast in Zabalaza where she played Gasta.
She has appeared on other popular television shows such as Isidingo, Home Affairs, Shreds & Dreams, Sokhulu and Partners, Jozi Streets, Ring of Lies, and of course Uzalo.
