The Braai Show With AKA Comes To SABC 1
The Braai Show With AKA is set to premiere on SABC 1 on Thursday, 5 November 2020.
The show was initially available on the rapper’s digital subscription platform, AKA TV in June. It is set for its first television appearance after SABC 1 acquired rights to the show.
AKA only aired five episodes of The Braai Show on his subscription platform AKA TV. The SABC 1 version will feature 13 episodes. The Braai Show will feature guests in every episode, with Moozlie, DJ Tira, and Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula being some of the personalities expected to make an appearance.
In a statement, SABC 1 said The Braai Show with AKA is a celebration of what it means to be young and free in South Africa. The television channel said the show offers viewers a glimpse into the lives of the most intriguing South African personalities hosted by the award-winning rapper.
In related news, AKA is set to release his EP Bhovamania in November. Bhovamania will be released on November 8. The artist has made his album available for preorder on iTunes. Last week Friday, AKA released his first single from the EP, Casino. The track features Sho Madjozi and Flvme. The track which also features adlibs from Costa Tich was well received by AKA fans.
AKA is making moves in the industry with reports that his Bhovamania merchandise sold out within a matter of hours after he announced it was available for presale. AKA has hinted that more merch will be made available when the Bhovamania EP drops in November.
