Orlando Pirates star Thembinkosi Lorch‘s ex-girlfriend Fundiswa Mathithibala has been arrested.
Fundiswa was arrested in Sandton on Thursday morning after she was stopped while driving under the influence of alcohol.
Lorch’s ex-girlfriend was driving a white Ford Eco Sport SUV when she was stopped by JM PD officers and blood tests were run as a standard procedure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fundiswa reported her ex-boyfriend Lorch last month after he allegedly assaulted her at his apartment in Midrand leading to the Orlando Pirates midfielder’s arrest.

She reported that Lorch beat her up and strangled her after she asked him about his whereabouts having waited for him at his home for quite some time.
Fundiswa was arrested the same day her ex-boyfriend appeared for the second time at Midrand Magistrates Court after being released on R2,000 bail.
The 2018-19 Premier Soccer League Footballer of the Year of the year is being charged with assault with intent to cause grievous harm.

Lorch will be back in court again on the 27th of October 2020 for disclosure of the contents of the docket to his legal representative.
Provincial police spokesperson Kay Makhubele confirmed that indeed Fundiswa was arrested but was released on R1,000 bail.
“The suspect was arrested for Driving Vehicle while under the influence of alcohol by JMPD”
She was released on bail. The amount is R1000. She will appear in court on the 10th of October,” he said.
Fundiswa did not answer calls in our attempts to get a comment from her.
