Clicks wins interdict against EFF
CLICKS has won an interim interdict against the Economic Freedom Fighters which blocks it from “intimidating and threatening” Clicks employees, Clicks customers and “inciting violence against the ordinary commercial operations” of Clicks.
Here is part of the ruling barring EFF from demonstrating at Clicks stores:

ORDER
Having read the documents filed of record and heard counsel and considered the matter:-
IT IS ORDERED THAT:-
1. That this application be treated as an urgent application as envisaged in Rule 6(12) of the Rules of the above Honourable Court;
2. The First Respondent, those acting in concert with it or pursuant to instructions from it, are interdicted and restrained from :
2.1. intimidating and threatening, the employees of the Applicant working at its shops or any of its operations; 2.2. intimidating and threatening the Applicant’s customers attending at its shops; 2.3. inciting violence against the ordinary commercial operations of the Applicant.
3. Pending the finalisation of this application on or before 22. September 2020, or so won thereafter as the matter may be heard, the relief as set out in prayers 2.1 to 2.3 above, shall operate as an interim order with immediate effect.
1. The service of this order shall be affected as follows: a. By email upon the legal representatives of the respondents; and b. By email on the addresses of the respondents in the Notice of Motion
Meanwhile EFF supporters are still stationed at some Clicks stores after the ruling. EFF has called for its ground forces to intensify their protests, part of the instruction read,
Essentially, Clicks has lost in its attempt to interdict the protest action of the EFF as the interdict issued by the court does not speak to the protests being undertaken by the EFF across the country. We will continue to protest across all Clicks outlets until the 11th of September 2020.
