Zororo Makamba is being rumoured to be the second corona virus case. Zororo is the son of prominent business man James Makamba.
Zororo was in New York
The Minister of Health and Child Care’s circular mentioned a young man who recently traveled to New York, and passed via South Africa. Zororo posted a picture of himself in New York on 8 March.
Zororo Makamba is 30 years old
The Minister’s circular again indicates the patient is 30 years old which coincides with Zororo’s age.
Social media is awash with people who are suggesting that the person is indeed the son of James Makamba. Some of his fans have unknowingly suggested that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Information use the services of Zororo to come up with Corona Virus visuals. One Twitter user commented: Zororo can’t, he has corona virus and should stay quarantined #Covid_19
Journalist Mduduzi Mathuthu described Zororo as the second person with Corona Virus: He posted on Twitter, “I’m reliably informed our 30-year-old Harare male is the son of a former Zanu PF MP who regularly produces explainer videos for some government departments. Two lessons: young or connected, we are all in harm’s way.”
Zororo is indeed involved in media and used to star on a show called Tonight with Zororo. He also presents on a show called State of the Nation with Zororo Makamba
