Senzo Meyiwa killer has been found, the police investigation team has also found the murder weapon used to assassinate the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.
Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead by unknown gunmen in East Rand at a party in girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s house.
The police have identified the man who allegedly fired the shots which killed Senzo in October 2014.
Previously Savannanews reported that Police Minister Bheki Cele gives a “positive” update on the murdered Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa’s case.
Bheki Cele says he has no time frame but assured the nation that there is a positive outcome coming out in the coming days. He claims that there was a lot of interference within the police ranks on the case.
“That case is going to be resolved, I can assure South Africans and Meyiwa family that justice is going to be served. The issue of this case was that there was a lot of interference with it initially, but I believe we have begun to clear the system, and definitely positive results will be announced on the case. I would not put a time frame, but a positive outcome is coming”
Senzo Meyiwa was killed in October 2014 during a robbery at his girlfriend and baby mama Kelly Khumalo’s place.

Justice has been delayed for the Meyiwa’s and Senzo’s father Sam Meyiwa died in July 2019 from a repeated stroke without answers about his son’s murder.
The Meyiwa family is sceptical about the Minister’s promises, it’s not the first time that he made such promises.
In 2019 when Sam Meyiwa passed away, Minister Bheki Cele visited the Meyiwa family and told the family that “there is good progress on the case”
Bheki Cele further told journalists gathered at Meyiwa homestead in Umlazi in Durban “What I will do this time is stand by [the fact] that the case will be solved.”
The Meyiwa family has ever since turned to AfriForum lobby group for assistance on the case
AfriForum called on the National Prosecuting Authority to recommend a formal inquest into the death of football star.
“The formal inquest will give advocate Gerrie Nel and the interested parties the opportunity to test the evidence and cross-examine the witnesses.
“This will assist the magistrate in judging who was responsible for Meyiwa’s death,” CEO Kallie Kriel previously said.
