White woman calls President Ramaphosa a baboon and South Africans react
South Africans react to a racist comment on Facebook by a South African white woman Marietjie Fourie, likening the President to a baboon.
During his Facebook Live address on Thursday evening President Ramaphosa announced the closure of all public schools must close for a month and matrics taking a week off, and grade 7s two weeks.
In the same Facebook address, Facebook character Marietjie Fourie likened the head of the state to a baboon, a comment received with mixed reactions on social media.
According to her Facebook profile, Marietjie Fourie hails from Secunda in Mpumalanga.

I personally don’t support ANC govt, but calling President Cyril Ramaphosa a baboon is unacceptable! We can’t build a country if we still having people who believe that black people are monkeys. Racism should be condemned and punished whether coming from a white or black person.
As an animal lover, I’m of the view that likening any animal to an ANC cadre, is the CRUELEST form of animal abuse and should be condemned with the strongest language possible!
I just wish we could get rid of this referral to Africans as “Black” and European as “Whites” I do not know of a single “black” nor “white” person Only different shades of skin textures from deep brown to pale pink, and our blood is all the same color We all humans, not animals.
Cyril Ramaphosa was on many announcements called out “our people, black people”. As if there is no other races in SA building this country and giving to all. Paying taxes to support his people. Don’t know what this is called but seriously separating races promotes racism.
Well you see, this is where we differ. What you claim not to understand is that us Afrikaans people often refer to stupid people as “aap”, “bobbejaan”, “moroon” or “poepol” with ZERO consideration of their race & mostly to white Afrikaans people. You simply play the RACE CARD.
I am also concerned that Ramaphosa is getting blamed while the ANC gets a free pass. ANC cadres are looting under the able leadership of Ace Magashule.
