Minister Mapisa-Nqakula and husband recover from Covid-19
Defence and Military Veterans Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and her husband Charles, who is the national security advisor to the President, recently tested positive for Covid-19, but have recovered.
Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu on Friday said the pair were still in self-isolation and had been working from home.

He said:
We are glad that all their symptoms have cleared and we are looking forward to them finishing their 14 days of mandatory self-quarantine period. We once again extend our well-wishes to all who have contracted the Covid-19 disease. We also extend our condolences to the many families who have lost their loved ones due to the coronavirus.
The minister’s private office staff were also tested.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe and his wife, Nolwandle Mantashe, also tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a statement by the Presidency, the couple were isolating at home, where Minister Mantashe continued to work.
Mantashe had directed all members of his private office in government to also get tested.
It was also reported earlier that Gauteng Premier, David Makhura tested positive for Covid-19. Seven staff members in the office of the Ekurhuleni mayor also tested positive for Covid-19 while Mayor Mzwandile Masina tested negative.
Western Cape Premier Alan Winde who is a diabetic and over 55 years of age also tested positive for Covid-19.
Winde joined North West Premier Job Mokgoro, who tested positive.
