Zola Nombona is one of South Africa’s shining stars. Zola stared in the hit series Lockdown as Monde, which aired on Mzansi Magic every Monday at 20h30.
She has been on our screens longer than that, though. Zola’s first big break came when she played the role of Shado in Intersections in 2013. She never stopped rising from then.
Zola was born only in 1992 that makes her 29 years of age. She already has so many accolades in her bag, including a Safta award for best actress for an earned TV movie Ingoma.
Zola plays Pamela Khoza on Generations the Legacy, a widow to the late Siyanda Khoza. She has paid her dues in this industry. She plays a curious journalist over there.
Zola will grace our screens in a movie called Boxing day. The film is directed by Mandla N, who also produced Zola on Lockdown. Zola released this information on her social media pages. She wrote, ” I am I a movie!! I am forever grateful to God for the blessing of living my dreams. You can stream it on @shownaxonline. Enjoy!!”

So there you have it. The movie is about a young woman named Vele who, along with her younger brother, kidnap a Government minister for ransom so that they can give their late grandmother a dignified send-off. This sounds so exciting and watching the visuals on Zolas Instagram. It looks like we will be taken on a roller coaster ride of our life. This movie promises to be very interesting.

The cast has some influential names attached to it, including Sthandiwe Kgoroge, who was also on Generations, by the way, playing the role of twins.
Zoleka and Zinzi. It also has Hamilton Dlamini, who has also been on our screens in many soapies like the now exed Isithembiso, playing the role of the evil Banzi. I am looking forward to this movie. Let’s stream it in numbers and support South African content. To those with Dstv, it already played on Mzansi Magic and is now on catch up.
