Zoe Mthiyane Collapsed On Set After Being Bullied By Rapulana Seiphemo’s Girlfriend
Zoe Mthiyane has been dismissed from the popular SABC 1 soapie Generations: The Legacy and more details are emerging regarding her dismissal.
Sunday World reports that Zoe collapsed on set after being bullied by her ex-lover Rapulana Seiphemo’s girlfriend. The two were dating Rapulana at the same time and the lady is said to work as the admin at the soapie.
The actress who portrayed the character of Zitha on the soapie told the publication she was fired a few days after she collapsed on set. She listed emotional fatigue and bullying as the main reasons for her collapse.
A member of the production team who spoke to the publication detailed how Zoe collapsed when they were shooting numerous scenes as per their schedule.
The source said an ambulance had to be called and she was rushed to the hospital where she was observed.
“The actors work long hours and the working conditions are horrible. Zoe’s body could not take it any more, especially since she was going through a tough time in her personal life,” said the source.
Another source told the publication that Zoe was depressed and being a single mother and working long hours, took a toll on her. However, another source revealed that Zoe was the target of bullying from three actresses who had teamed up with their friend to frustrate her work.
“There is a lot of jealousy and cattiness. There are three influential ladies who have been ill-treating her and hoping that she would be frustrated and leave the show,” said the source.
Zoe has confirmed that she is no longer part of Generations: The Legacy. She also denied that she went to work drunk, saying that the lies were peddled by people who were out to get her.
