Zinhle Mabena is a South African actress who plays Sihle on Isibaya. While Zinhle may play one of the least likeable characters on screen, in real life there is so much more to the actress than meets the eye.
While the actress is currently making waves on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya as Sihle, the Zinhle made her name as Busi Thwala, Bongani’s daughter on the SABC 1 drama series Mtunzini.com. She has since had multiple screen appearances including a role on 2011’s Mandela alongside Jennifer Hudson.
Zinhle Mabena, also Zinhle Mabena Ngwenya is married to Robert Ngwenya and the couple have a child together. Before her marriage, Zinhle was involved with Orlando Pirates star, Mpho Makola in 2013.
The couple has a foundation known as the MZ Ngwenya Foundation whose objective is simple- to change lives. Zinhle has taken a lead in the foundation and has been on the forefront of fighting for various causes including fighting against nyaope with the #nyaopemustfall campaign. The actress has taken a stand against various social injustices such as gender based violence.
Although it’s unclear what her business interests are, Zinhle Mabena has a head for business and is quite the proactive woman.
Isibaya’s Sihle is one well travelled woman. She has been to Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, London, Bali and so many more places. One thing is for certain, Zinhle is all about the soft life. Style, good travels and hot cars. Althougher Instagram is interesting, the actress does not share much in the way of personal content.
In 2017, the actress was involved in a head on collision that left 2 people dead and one crippled for life. Blood tests revealed that she had been driving under the influence of alcohol. The actress was was also speeding when the collision happened. Although the matter was swept under the carpet, it appears the matter is unresolved.
