Zimbabwe lockdown extended to level 2 -Zimbabwe lockdown extension- The Zimbabwe lockdown has been extended by a further two weeks, at stage two.
President E.D Mnangagwa’s address to the nation:
Lockdown will continue for 14 days but on level two. Citizens must wear masks when going in the public, informal sector will remain closed while companies will operate from 0800hrs to 1500hrs.

President E.D Mnangagwa says schools to remain closed for now; a number of conditions need to be met first and consultations continue.
Commuter omnibuses, bars, bottle stores, churches and other recreational facilities are still on suspension. Permitted gatherings should have a maximum of 50.
President Mnangagwa says he is grateful for support from China, UK, USA, UAE, India, the AU and the EU in Covid-19 fight. Business community and NGOs also commended for assistance in fighting the pandemic.

Reopening of industry means all employees must undergo mandatory testing, wear masks, and sanitization.
Working hours from 8am – 3pm
Informal sectors remain closed.
Public transport only, no kombis or taxis.
Passengers must wear masks, sanitized upon boarding buses, social distancing maintained.
Churches, bars, gyms remain closed.
