The government has announced the reopening of schools in Zimbabwe will be on the 28th of July 2020. The dates have been moved from the 29th of June to the 28th of July 2020. The government also announced that June exams will still be held from the 29th of June to the 22nd of July 2020.
The announcement was made during today’s cabinet briefing by the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting services.
The reopening of schools has been received with mixed feelings by Zimbabweans who feel the dates are too early as the government has not made it possible for students to study in hygienic environments and to maintain social distancing.
