ZBC Cuts Staff Transport And Food Allowances
State owned broadcaster the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has announced that it is cutting transport and canteen allowances for its employees.
In a notice written by the broadcaster’s Human Resources Manager S. Chichaya and seen by iHarare, ZBC also notified its employees that only critical staff is required to report for duty whilst the rest must stay at home unless advised otherwise.
ZBC says that it will now be serving its employees one starch and one type of meat per day and they will be getting what the broadcaster terms ‘standard portions’. In terms of food, critical staff will also get preference as Chachaya said they shall be served meals against the submitted list from the Department Head.

Please be advised that the following cost cutting measures are being instituted with immediate effect
1. TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE
Considering that the organisation contracted ZUPCO to ferry employees from home to work during this Covid-19 era. Employees reporting for duty using ZUPCO wilt no longer be entitled to transport allowance. Only critical staff is required to report for duty. the rest must stay at home unless advised otherwise.
2. CANTEEN
The corporation shall be serving one starch and one type of meat per given day. Standard portions shall be served going forward. Only critical staff shall be served meals against

All photocopying shall be done through our registry department unless advised otherwise.
