ZANU PF has set the date of hearing for fired former Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Energy Mutodi to June 13. Sources within the Mashonaland East ZANU PF national executive said Mutodi is facing three charges of assaulting a District Chairperson called Patrick Rwafa, insulting senior party members, discussing issues in the public and social media and putting the name of the Party into disrepute as stipulated in Article 3 sub section 21.5. of the party’s constitution.
The the sources said the venue of the hearing will be announced in due course but it is likely to be at the Mashonaland East provincial headquarters. Mutodi was recently relieved from his position as Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services. He was also suspended from his position as a provincial member in the ruling party.
