Zahara, on resurrecting her crumbling career
Although Zahara has been making headlines for the wrong reasons, she has scoped a significant award, and her fans are happy for her. Zahara’s career has been crumbling after a public fight with DJ Sbu, who allegedly failed to pay her for releasing her debut album under a record label he owned with Nciza. Also, she was said to be broke at some point, and the taxman declared her wanted for tax evasion.
The celebrated singer has also been spotted performing live while heavily drunk and begging for money from her fans. Rumours say she has been an alcohol addict because she struggles to make ends meet.
Back in May 2022, Zahara had a social media meltdown as she shared her financial struggles with the world. She was in the news headlines after Netbank put her Townhouse on auction. This was due to the musician’s failure to pay her bank loan. Mzansi helped her with donations, and she repossessed her million-dollar mansion.
It seems like her storm is over as she has managed to resurrect her dying career by winning an award in America.
