Zahara going to Jail after failing to appear in court on tax related charges
Popular Musician Zahara regrets not attending her court case on Monday. This comes after the court ruled the verdict to be guilty. It means that the Loliwe star will serve some jail time. Zahara failed to appear in court on tax related charges brought by SARS.
On the 7th of June the specialized commercial crimes court found her guilty of contempt of court, after she failed to honor her court appearances many times. According to celebgossip, they understand Zahara handed herself over to the police on the Monday.
This has come at a wrong time as Zahara is working on her album release next month. The presiding officer Emmanuel Magampa found Zahara’s reason for not appearing in court as unfulfilling. The well-liked musician was then served with a R1 500 fine or three months imprisonment.

Zahara will be back in court on the 25th of June for the disclosure of the docket for the SARS tax return case. Zahara real name Bulelwa Mtukutwana has had some ups and downs in her career and life.
