The Gomora star discovered her craze of traditional dancing while in primary school. Velile attended Cato Crest primary school, where she fell in love with dancing; she was taught Zulu dance and Umshado. These cultural forms became her inspiration as they taught her about the history of her culture.
The actress did her secondary school at Mayville Secondary and took dance classes at KwaMashu Art Center. Velile Makhoba’s dream is to own a dance production company that caters for young people, teaching them dance as a form of expressing art.
