Michael Mabizela’s age and business empire are something his fans have been wondering about since his wedding on Scandal happened last Friday. Michael’s role in Scandal as Caiphus
Caiphus won Gloria’s heart a few years ago when she was still working as a cleaner, and together they have been through the most. To have a better life, the two conspired with the Kubekas to let Caiphus take the fall for an accident he did not cause. In return, the family was supposed to pay Caiphus R2 million and also pay for his representation. Michael Mabizela’s business empire in acting
Mabizela, the actor who takes on the role of Caiphus, has been in the game for over a decade. In 2002 he got his Diploma in Dramatic Arts from Market Theatre Laboratory before furthering his studies in Sweden in an exchange programme.
After finishing his studies, Michael returned to South Africa and started his acting career in Theatre at a company called Victory Sinqoba Theatre. He was part of the casts of The Good woman, TRC Wasted lives, Shadows and many more. It was only on 2013 when he debuted his Television career with a role in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Michael went on to land more roles in productions like The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency and many others before his current role of Caiphus on Scandal.
Michael also did commercials for companies like Vodacom, Netstar, Sony, Nedbank and many others over the years. He is also a businessman and founder of Twilight Theatre Organisation, located in Alexandra Township, where he grew up.

The actor takes on the role of a man married to a role played by actress Marjorie Langa and many people like the couple. However, what many fans do not know is that Michael is three years younger than Marjorie in real life. Caiphus was born in June 1982, which makes him 40 years of age as of this year.
