We can all agree on the fact that Nomzamo Mbatha and Jessica Nkosi have fast become some of Mzansi’s finest. The two have been making all sorts of headlines of late from their big wins both on and off-screen.
However, the two served friendship goals, but their friendship took a knock when Jessica Nkosi allegedly took a swipe on Mbatha to win Khaya Mthethwa, who was engaged to Mbatha. Like those before them, the two had a shot to fame through their Isibaya gigs.
However, they became frenemies. The two made headlines when they were cast into the Mzansi Magic drama series Isibaya. No doubt since then, they have been winning big, but they are no longer friends, and they don’t seem to have let bygones to bygones.
The two had a fallout when Nkosi flirted with Khaya Mthethwa while engaged to Mbatha. Mthethwa was an Idols winner who enjoyed his fair share of fame that comes along with being an Idols winner.

Who is Khaya Mthethwa?
Since winning the Idols SA season 8, the KwaZulu-Natal born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has fast become a big name. He is also best-known as a member of the gospel group Joyous Celebration, prevalent both in South Africa across Africa. Of interest, he is the son of Themba and Lulu Mthethwa.
Reasons behind his fallout with Mbatha
In 2013 it was rumoured that Mthethwa even made a down payment of lobola amounting to R50 000. Rumour mill has it that Mbatha’s family had to call off the negotiations after daring chats of Nkosi and Khaya flooded social media.
However, in the mix of things, the two later confirmed their fallout but remained mum about implicating Nkosi’s name into the equation. The relationship was already fragile, and the daring messages gave the final nail to what was already rumoured to be dead.

The two just ghosted each other and haven’t been spotted together since then. To make matters worse they tend not to comment or follow each other on social media platforms like other celebs. Despite both celebs moving on they tend to hold their grudges for years.
