Opposition party leader Nkosana Moyo has asked Zimbabweans not to observe the call by President Mnangagwa for a National Day of Prayer and Fasting. Instead he advised them to work for their families because the government doesn’t care about them.
Nkosana Moyo was making a reference to the issue that the government is yet to assist poor families who are currently affected by the Covid-19 lockdown.
In a video address, Nkosana Moyo said, “Zimbabweans I would want to think i’m God fearing. But asking you to pray in this situation and being led by Emmerson Mnangagwa who is leading a government that is not caring for the people? Instead of fasting attend to look after your families because the government is not doing that. The nation has been asked to pray to solve the economic crisis. We should stop the looting. Look after your family but pray in your private spaces pray but don’t attend to this fasting (National Day of Prayer and fasting).
