Kellie said she was devastated by the death of George Floyd. She said she was devastated by Floyd’s death and her “utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone else who is grieving this tragedy.”

Derek Chauvin’s Wife and Tou Thao

There have been reports that Kellie Chauvin and another former Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao who was involved in the murder of George Floyd are siblings. The Plot Thickens, a Facebook page claimed Derek Chauvin’s Wife and Tou Thao are sisters. “Kellie Chauvin is the wife of Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao is Kellie Chauvin’s brother,” said one post on Instagram with more than 3,000 likes. The story has since been dismissed by Snopes.

Divorce rumors

There are reports that the Kellie has filed for divorce. She is understood to be fearing for her life after a wave of protests has gripped the United States. The rumors are yet to be confirmed.

It is reported that Kellie Chauvin’s lawyers said on Friday that she was trying to “end her marriage” with her husband. “She is devastated by the death of George Floyd,” read part of the statement by representatives of  Kellie Chauvin and his family. “Your deepest sympathy goes to his family, loved ones and all those who cry. “She asked us to work on ending the marriage with Derek,” continues the letter.
