The Reason Behind Mlungisi’s Suicide
Mlungisi, also known as Mkhululu, ended his life by jumping off a building after a party with his brothers Khulekani and Siphamandla. This tragic event was foreshadowed when Mvelase’s portrait fell before Mlungisi and his wife Nokubonga could announce their pregnancy, signaling an impending dark cloud over the family.
Mkhululu is the third member of the Mzobe family to commit suicide, following Baba MZobe and his first-born daughter Xolile. The family is believed to be under a curse caused by Mamzobe, who failed to perform the necessary rituals after the suicides of her husband and daughter.
Mlungisi’s death was also a result of him ignoring his father Mvelase’s warning to step down and let his brother Sphamandla lead the church. His mother Mamzobe manipulated him into not listening to this advice, as she had plans to steal from the church.
