South African business mogul Shauwn Mkhize made headlines when she shared a video of herself on the BET Awards red carpet, and photographers were ignoring her. She is not the only South African celebrity who suffered that embarrassing fate on an International platform. Photographers and journalists also blue-ticked DJ Zinhle and Rapper Moozlie on the Red carpet. They relive the embarrassing moment on the next episode of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected.
In the last episode of The Unexpected, fans got to see that Zinhle went to America for business. Kairo was going too for her official first photoshoot for her jewellery line in collaboration with Era by DJ Zinhle. Lynn Forbes, AKA’s mother, and Moozlie Mabena stringed along and escorted the two on their trip.

The recent Glamour cover star, DJ Zinhle, made fashion statements at the BET Awards. She only wore clothes made by South African designers. Their outfits made the news as they took local designers the country has been sleeping on to the international stage on an iconic night. However, despite being dressed well, the two were not recognized at the Awards show on the red carpet.

In one of the trailers shared for the next episode of The Unexpected, DJ Zinhle tells the world that Shauwn Mkhize was not the only one on blue ticked. In her narration, she says they went for their red carpet moment after International RnB superstar Mary J Blige was polite enough to greet them. She tells how rapper Rick Ross made jokes and interacted with his fans. When it was their turn to walk the red carpet, the photographers ignored them. The two best friends made light of the moment as they laughed it off and blamed Mary J Blige.

Businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize who was on her holiday in the United States of America attended the event and had a similar experience. Record-breaking DJ duo Major League DJz was nominated as the Best International act but lost the Awards to Tems. The Award show is meant to celebrate black entertainers in film, music, sports and many more and was established in 2001. The show is held annually as both old and new talents are celebrated.
