Life outside Idols SA never gets easier for media personality Somizi. Following his suspension from Mzanzi Magic’s Idols SA show, other media personalities are disassociating with him.
Idols SA judge Unathi Nkayi has set tongues wagging after revealing she is not friends with media personality and former Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo.
She also went on to unfollow Somizi on Instagram. The two used to grace the Idols SA stage, kiss and have pictures taken together.

Somizi’s world crumbled after his estranged husband Mohale Motuang’s leaked audio revealed the extent of their marriage’s physical and psychological abuse.
In an audio clip, believed to have been leaked by film producer Legend Manqele, Mohale revealed Somizi threatened to cut him with a kitchen knife three weeks into the marriage. Mohale claims Somizi chased him with his car causing damage to his car.
Somizi is also assaulted and broke Mohale’s ribs after accusing him of infidelity, according to the audio clip.
Mohale also revealed he did not like it when Somizi brought strangers into their bedroom to make love as a group.
While the divorce process between Somizi and Mohale is ongoing, R Kelly, an R&B singer, was found guilty of racketeering.

Unathi, a radio DJ, believes it is best to join others in muting R Kelly as she feels the beauty and the beast in him is inseparable.
She took to Instagram to let her followers know her stance towards R Kelly.
“To all my friends who think you’re going to continue playing R Kelly in my presence, today it stops. No more philosophical *** about you separating the genius from the monster. It stops today. Unless you love being a trigger.”
One follower with the handle @beastdubiematic asked her about Somizi and how she responded following the abuse allegations. ‘What about Somizi? He was charged for sexual assault and did say anything you continued to praise him,’ the user queried.
Unathi immediately fired back, ‘Stop lying. We’re not friends.’
Other followers said they would continue listening to his music.
‘I will continue playing his music. He is the best R&B singer, even though I don’t agree with what he did.’
