It’s been nearly two months since Asavela Mqokiyana announced her pregnancy and she has now revealed the baby’s sex.
The actress took to her Instagram timeline on Tuesday sharing a picture of her baby bump in a pink dress at the beach with the caption; “Bring on the matching dresses — it’s a girl!”
Congratulatory messages from colleagues, friends and followers of Asavela flooded the post with messages sharing her excitement.
“Congratulations mama, so beautiful,” Shonisani Masutha wrote.
“What a beautiful child she is going to be. Congratulations mommy,” wrote an Instagram user.
In July Asavela revealed she had a baby on the way when she took to her timeline in a letter to her partner.
“To my husband, every step of this pregnancy has been easier because of how helpful and caring you are. I love you,” she wrote.
Since then, from doctor check-ups, body changes and pregnancy social media trends, Asavela has been sharing her pregnancy journey.
While she has chosen to keep the identity of her partner off social platforms, the actress is seemingly happy and in love since tying the knot in a traditional ceremony in April 2022.
