After taking part in a popular Tik Tok challenge, Durban Gen actress Phumeza generated a stir on social media after posting a video of herself dancing. Being one of the few famous people without a scandal, Tsidi Makitle has never experienced such negative feedback.
Phumeza, the Durban Gen actress, was dancing to the song Azul by Dj Karri, BL Zero and Lebzito. And she appeared to be enjoying herself. She even told her fans that she would continue to participate in this Tik Tok challenge frequently because she genuinely loves the song, even to the point of making them angry. While many people thought the video of the actress dancing was amazing, others did not share those opinions. They expressed that they thought the actress needed to cover up and that what she wore was inappropriate. Some even said that she couldn’t even dance and that she should stop.
Tsidi responded to some of the criticisms of the innocent video she posted, saying that it was her page and that anyone who didn’t like what she posted should unfollow or unblock her. She also said that she didn’t see anything wrong with what she was doing because it was just a simple dance. The Durban Gen actress is a twin in real life, and when she shared this Tik Tok on their page, she had no idea she would get such scathing feedback.
Tsidi joined the Durban Gen cast as a starring cast member in 2020 when the show’s eTV debut. Phumeza holds a permanent position as a nurse at the hospital. Over the past two years, she has been the subject of several storylines. Her acting, as well as that of her identical twin sister, has impressed Mzansi.
On-screen, Sne’s best friend Phumeza is a registered nurse who works at the Durban General Hospital. She is also wed to Sibiya, a former police officer who now oversees the security division at the hospital. Their friendship demonstrates that, even in character, opposites do attract. Sne is loud, a slay queen and likes to brag, while Phumeza is quiet and down to earth.
Tsidi Makitle is well-paid for her role in the medical drama because she is a member of the starring cast. An estimated R45 000 is paid to the actress each month. However, the pay depends on how many scenes she appears each month. In addition, some actors are paid more than others based on their experience level. Since Makitle is still relatively new to the acting world, many of her fans have been taken aback by her pay, which is higher than what some productions pay veteran actors.
