The stage has been set, and everyone is getting ready for the most prominent fashion week in South Africa. Let’s find out what the rich and famous got up to at the launch party.
The event was filled with entertainers and fashion lovers alike. The launch party took place at the Fire Room at the mall of Africa on Tuesday night.
Celebrities like AKA and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai, Skeem Saam actor Clement Maosa (kwaito) and Unathi Nkayi, to name but a few, were all in attendance and they gave us a taste of what to expect when the main event which will commence on Thursday the 28th of April 2022 begins.
Many of the attendees approached different designers for their fabulous looks on the night.
AKA wore a yellow suit with bold printed patterns, designed by House of Ole. AKA was not the only one who wore yellow to the event; Clement Maosa also wore a yellow suit dressed by Manyakum.
Actress Mbali Nkosi also attended the event wearing a bright orange dress with a frill. Actor Chris Jaftha also wore a yellow printed black suit and DJ Zinhle wire an Ezokhetho design. Unathi Nkayi looked tough in her Afriksn Swiss design.
Designers have also shown some of the outfits we can expect to see on the runway.
The South African Fashion week is one of the most important events in the South African entertainment industry.
Top designers like Ezokhetho, Michael Ludwig Studio, Judith Atelier, Mantsho, France Elis and Floyd Avenue will give us a show to remember.
The setup for Thursday shows us underway at the Mall of Africa. According to the South African Fashion week Twitter page, the tickets for all the shows are almost sold out.
Everyone is looking forward to the shows, especially after all the performances were suspended due to the CoronaVirus.
This event will mark the 25th anniversary of the South African Fashion Week, and the designers are expected to bring their A-game in the Spring/Summer fashion.
The main event will kick off on the 28th of April and last for three days ending on the 30th of April.
The three-day event will be loaded with beautiful and edgy designs.
