In the mix of things, it seems as if the showrunners have finally put their house in order. A few months ago, the drama series hogged the headlines for the wrong reasons after its salary woes went public. Actors complained that they were being paid late whilst they were doing well in regards to views.
In the backdrop of these salaries woes, it was alleged that the show lost some of its seasoned cast because it did not pay in time. Amongst them was Dawn Thandeka King who left the most-watched drama series for Diep City, and her exit marked the mass exodus of actors who dumped the show in the eleventh hour.
Qhabanga and Gabisile were also shown the exit door after a fallout with the showrunners over contract woes. However, in the mix of things, Gabisile made her return to the drama series.
