Umbuso promised fireworks when the series first debuted, and the crew delivered. This drama has left fans at the edge of their seats with the suspense surrounding the storyline. Last night, the series’ season finale was shown, and fans can not wait for the second season to come. Emotions were everywhere for both the actors and viewers last night.
After Samora and Lihle agree that their Uncle Tiny might have killed their mother, Lihle goes and confront him with a gun. In her confrontations, she learns a secret that threatens to shatter her whole world. Thembelihle is told by the man she thought was her uncle that he is their biological father. She does not want to believe it and goes to see her grandmother in a trance. She remembers how her mother was with her father when she was alive. They were so in love that she remembered their playful moments in the house.

At her father’s house, her grandmother confirms her worst fears that this may be the truth. She even learns that her previous miscarriage was not due to natural causes. Her grandmother had caused it as she could not allow her to have a child with her brother so she spiked her tea. Lihle is shattered, to say the least, and she shares all she has learned with Tshepiso and his wife. Tshepiso is shattered by the truth and is brought down to tears and speechlessness.

However, after her talk with Bassie and Tshepiso, she wants to tell Samora on her own. Lihle then calls Tiny first, who reminds her that Samora’s drawings speak of what’s in his heart. That’s when she realises that Samora has always known about their paternity. He then confesses to murdering their mother, a truth Lihle shares with MaE in jail. However, he takes the fall for his son and tells Lihle to continue building their empire.
Many fans recalled how they were moved to tears by the series’ final episode. The mystery surrounding the whole season is one that fans had grown to love. They can not wait for the next season to debut, which may be after many months. The actors can now take a break while working on other projects till the debut of the series.
