“They hate that I’m not the one who died that day,” Kelly Khumalo finally opens up about Senzo Meyiwa’s death
Kelly Khumalo is getting as candid as ever on Senzo Meyiwa’s death. With the Senzo Meyiwa trial making it back to the courts, she has opened up on the footballer who died in 2014. She also opened a can of worms about her relationship with baby daddy Molemo Jub Jub Maarohanye in season 3 of Life With Kelly Khumalo.
Kelly’s reality show returns for its third season, and from the trailer released on Showmax, we are in for the ride of our life. The reality show looks at Kelly’s incredible comeback after being cancelled many times. In the previous season, Kelly addressed her spiritual calling, which brought us to her relationship with her mother.
Kelly also took her viewers on a roller coaster ride with her son Christian who hadn’t seen his father in a long time.
“They hate that I’m not the one who died that day.”
In the trailer, Kelly mentions the Senzo Meyiwa case and its effect on her. Kelly was in the house along with her sister Zandile and her then-boyfriend Longer Twala when Senzo was shot. She has been struck back into the line of fire since the beginning of the trial.

She has been putting out fires thrown at her ever since. Kelly can be seen talking to her fellow musician friend Wanda Baloyi about how some people wish it was her that died the night of the shooting. Khumalo can be seen sharing a tender moment with Somizi, whose been her friend for years. The two are seen having an emotional interaction and crying.
“No one said it was an easy process.”
The musician can be heard saying that life is a challenge and that the higher a person rises, the harder they can fall. A few months ago, Kelly was thrust into the public eye by the utterances of her baby daddy Jub Jub, who went into the Podcast and Chill with MacG show and called her a Witch.
Maarohanye’s words caused him to be suspended from her show Uyajola 99 on Moja love. The station’s manager Aubrey Tau then gave Jub Jub a request to apologise or forfeit his job. Molemo wrote a long heartfelt letter apologising to Kelly.
The Empini hitmaker is seen addressing an issue involving a woman of Maarohanyes and calling her a slay queen. Kelly mentions that Jub Jub sent said a woman to do his dirty job to address an issue between them instead of facing her himself.
Kelly captioned her video, “Y’all gon’ know about me.”
It looks like it will be the show we have been waiting for. Life with Kelly Khumalo will premier on the 5th of July in 2022 on Showmax.
