Watch, The Queen actress “Kamina’ Michelle Mosalakae to star in a Netflix Anti-Apartheid movie
Michelle Mosalakae has taken to Instagram to share the new Netflix Anti-Apartheid movie trailer that she is a part of. After a few years of not being on-screen, the actress takes on a minor role in the action-thriller. The movie is called Silverton Siege, and the story is based on real-life events.
Silverton Siege is an action thriller set in 1980 in South Africa during Apartheid. Actual events inspire the story during the anti-apartheid freedom movements. The movie follows a trio of freedom fighters who realize they have been set up when they try to attack a petrol depot and find police waiting to arrest them. They seek shelter in a building which they later realize is a bank.

The three now have to fight for their freedom from the police surrounding them. At the same time, they are suspicious among themselves, thinking one of them is a sell-out. When they realize that their options only end in either death or prison, they decide to negotiate for the release of Nelson Mandela.
Michelle Mosalakae stars in Netflix movie Silverton Siege
Michelle takes on the role of a woman who is already in the bank and working there. In the trailer, she tries to negotiate with the robbers for their freedom. The cast of this movie includes Noxolo Dlamini, Thabo Rametsi, Stefan Erasmus and Arnold Vosloo. Walter Dube directed this movie whose screenplay was written by Sabelo Mgidi. Pambili Media produces the film alongside Walter Ayres.
The movie is produced for Netflix and will be released on the 27th of April for Streaming worldwide. In her Instagram post, Michelle said that South Africans are born from stories like the one told in the film. Therefore she says it’s the responsibility of storytellers to tell those stories fearlessly.
