South Africans have not heeded President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for a lock down as they are still shopping for groceries.
Late salary and wages payments
Most workers were paid yesterday and they will spend today and probably the weekend shopping. Salaries and wages of employees were supposed to have been linked with the lock down and been paid way before Thursday.
Shopping happen nationwide
Shoppers are buying groceries across the country, from Cape Town to Limpopo. Some Cape Town residents have been seen shopping at Mitchells Plain Town Centre
