The last time we saw Sbu and Njeza, they were sweating in closed drums. They were even dreaming of the next chapter in their lives after they escaped from prison.
They had a man picking them up in a truck, and their passports were ready. The plan was perfect.
Everything seemed to be going well, the police had no idea, or so it seemed.
The problem started when the prison sirens began to go off and the gates closed, then we knew that things were about to get problematic.
Officer Makhathini and the whole prison squad have guns surrounding the truck in the newly released video. Makhathini tells Njeza, Sbu and the older man to face down because they have all been caught.
Njeza and Sbu have been caught escaping from prison; that is a big no. There will be new charges laid against them on top 9f the ones they are serving, and they will be the most extensive laughing stocks in prison; plus, they will have the police tailing them 24/7.
There are a few reasons why Sbu and Njeza’s plan didn’t work.
1. Someone overheard them while Sbu kept blabbering on to Njeza.
2. The officer who delivered the Passports to Sbu got cold feet and reported them and
3. Nkunzi blew the whistle because he found out Sibonelo was involved and that Hlela stole from him to fund this plan, and now he is teaching all involved a severe lesson.
Either way, someone alerted the police to this.
Uzalo released their weekly highlights yesterday, and it looks like the guts have been taken to the hard lockup because Hlela tries to visit, Sbu, and she is told it’s impossible to see him.
Sbu’s problems seem to be growing each day, and it looks like he should have listened to all the warnings Hlela and Njeza kept giving him.
On top of the problems piling up for Sbu, he can now add getting the older man arrested.
Things have gone from bad to worse for these two, and they have to accept some complex realities. According to the teasers released about the Soapie, the two will struggle to get back to normal in jail.
