Riky Rick sends farewell in a video.
After the news Riky’s death broke up in the early morning, fans were alerted to a video that Riky was interviewed and revealed his suicidal thoughts. Like experts always say, suicidal thoughts grow for a long time. Riky may have hinted that five months ago. In a video posted on Youtube by King Oumar, an entertainment channel in South Africa, Rick encouraged his fans to use the channel and advised them to take care of each other. He said that “We’ll catch you on the other side. It’s your boy Riky Rick; if you never hear from me again, God bless you.” Riky seemed to be sure that we will not have him for long. He seemed sure of his death.
As if that was not enough, the South African Hip Hop Awards, MVP/Hustler of the year, posted on his Twitter handle saying, “I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home.” The post left fans perplexed, with many asking what was coming. The majority of his fans believed the Hip Hop rapper was hinting at the coming of a new hit. In the awakening of events, the news broke social media and the memorial messages started to come worldwide.
A fan commented on the tweet, saying, “You screamed I guess everyone was too busy to notice 😭😭😭💔”. Most men are indeed living with depression, and whenever they try to speak out, society blocks the way. Will we ever have an era where we will also hear the boy child?. For another day, that is a question. As Riky Rick bid farewell, we say, ‘Rest in peace,’ Riky Rick.
