Rapper Cassper Nyovest released his Root of Fame sneakers. As most people know, the rapper collaborated with footwear maker Drip a few years ago. Initially, he just released a line with the brand and announced that he had invested in it. Today the partnership seems to be going stronger and more vigorous than ever.
When he announced the move on Instagram, someone in his comments said the sneakers were lovely piano dance friendly.
Initially, when the rapper decided to release the sneaker line, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the collaboration. Many people thought Cassper was jumping on another person’s bandwagon, which wasn’t ethical. Others thought he could have done something original, especially since he could afford to start his sneaker brand from scratch.
When the rapper released the concept of the sneakers, social media detectives found a similar design from China. The plan was very similar to what he was bringing to the market; the only difference was the logo. The value of the sneaker in China was R200, and his sneaker went to retail for R900. People accused him of being one of those people who cut tags off for a living.
Cassper is a walking brand on his own, and he has a huge fan base. No matter how people tend to bash his brand or anything he’s trying to put across the market, his millions of followers will want a piece of him. His fans pull through for the wrapper and do the same with his sneakers. The same way they supported his concerts is the same way they make sure the sneakers don’t last on the store shelves.
Mufasa has tons of experience with marketing, although he does not have any formal education about that. He knows how to get people talking, and he knows how to make his brand in everyone else’s face. When people were not feeling his sneakers, at first, he got some of the toughest influences in the country to push them, and it worked.
Currently, he owns two brands: the sneaker line and the tequila brand called Billiato. He recently released a video suggesting that people try tequila with caramel and vanilla ice cream. He said it’s one of the most delicious things he’s ever tried. His fans said they would try it, and the restaurant he bought the ice cream from could cut him a small cut as he suggested.
Both brands are seeing a lot of growth, and he is not stopping just that. He is back to making hip-hop music after successfully trying amapiano. His upcoming single is titled Put Your Hands Up and promises to be a long-awaited hit.
