Watch, Pearl Thusi sets the record straight after being dragged for ‘hating’ on Pabi Cooper.
Paballo Basetsana Mothapo, popularly known as Pabi Cooper, is famous for being one of the most unproblematic celebrities in Mzansi, with little to no scandals attached to her name. The entertainer has claimed that her dream is to become the youngest soccer referee in South Africa because of her love of the sport. Pabi found herself trending on Twitter after Pearl Thusi commented on her post, and a misunderstanding started.
Cooper posted a video of herself dancing with Buhle in a club and captioned it. ‘Book us abeg,’ Pearl Thusi replied with laughing emojis. Many of her fans and herself responded to the comment asking Pearl what was funny about the post. Some even went further to say Pearl Thusi was toxic and hated on Pabi Cooper for no reason.
Against the backdrop of all the drama on Instagram and Twitter, Pearl Thusi has since apologized to Pabi Cooper. The actress said that she was misunderstood and did not mean to offend her. She said this through a message on Pabi’s DM and in a video she had on Instagram for her fans. The actress complained about how many people misunderstand her, and everything she says is scrutinized and taken for the worst.

Thusi explained that she found it funny that Pabi captioned her post in a Nigerian word, and she assumed the dancer was booked in Nigeria. And also that Cooper is one of the most booked artists in South Africa, so Thusi thought Pabi was flexing on people. She cleared the air and said she was not apologizing to the other lot who was dragging her. Thusi apologised to just Pabi Cooper for the misunderstanding.
Pabi Cooper has recently been marketing her first single, which she has dropped under her label Cooper ent. The song is called Banyana ke Bafana, and she has Focalistic and Ch’cco on it. The reception of the music has been overwhelming, and it bagged half a million views in the space of two weeks.
