A new Mzansi Netflix production called Wild Is The Wind is going to be on Netflix by the end of October. Wild Is The Wind is a crime thriller that is very star-studded with loads of talent. The trailer of the production in itself is very thrilling and enough to make a person big for more.
The plot of Wild Is The Wind is very simple. The niece of a mayor goes missing and the search begins. Having her go missing instantly makes the case a high-profile one. The police gather search dogs and look for the young lady all across the town. They do not find her and the case deepens with the possibility of a murder suspected.
Deepening of the plot
All the people that are initial suspects are people who are very close to the young girl. None of the suspects has evidence against them which makes it difficult for police to make an arrest.
One of the biggest suspects is the ex-boyfriend of the niece. One of her friends tells the detective that he had a very bad temper and that he didn’t want her to move on from their relationship. When they call in the suspect for questioning, he tells the police that he didn’t kill her. One of the detectives is very suspicious of the young man but since there is no evidence they cannot arrest him.
After some time one of the detectives from the case received a bag of hard cold cash. He shows his wife and obviously, she is impressed that the money is enough to last them a lifetime. Simultaneously, it comes with problems and soon they will struggle and suffer because of the money.
The detective is later arrested and, when he puts two and two together he can see that he has been set up. He tries to tell the police to look for a certain file but they refuse to listen to the prisoner.
The intensity of the trailer
Firstly, the trailer shows how tens life can get in an instant. Secondly, it also shows the police officer getting threats from gangsters and having someone strangle them from the back of the police car. Thirdly, there are elements of the trailer including a protest and a lot of dodgy dealings.
Mona Monyane who played the role of Dr Nthabi in Muvhango stars in the production alongside Mothusi Mogano who played The Dustbin Man on Scandal. Wild Is The Wind comes out on Netflix on the 28th of October.
