Netflix has finally released the long-awaited trailer of the South African hit series Blood and Water; it is everything fans hoped it would be. Fans were recently made aware that Blood and Water season 3 was in production when Netflix announced it and followed the cast member’s social media accounts. The cast has wrapped up production, and the streaming service can share bits and pieces of what to expect in the drama series in its third season.
The storyline of the series
The storyline follows a high scholar who transfers to an elite High School to pursue a girl she suspects is her big sister, who was kidnapped as a baby. The girl named Puleng first met Fikile when she sneaked into a party with her friend, trying to escape her abducted sister’s birthday celebrations. Puleng realizes that the party is that of Fikile, who is the same age as her sister Phumi and was also born on the same day.
After following her around at school and with the help of her friend Wade, she discovers that Fikile is her sister. At the end of season one, she tells Fikile the truth, and Season two has them searching for answers and telling their families. Season two ended with the key witness, who happens to be Fikile’s abductor and the woman she called her mother all her life, was abducted by a woman who seemed to be KB, one of their friend’s mother.
What to expect in Blood and Water season 3?
According to the trailer released by Netflix, the key witness will be announced as dead, and KB’s mother will resurface. The friends will stay the same and promise they will not flake this year. Fikile will try to get to know her new family and roots as she discovers she is a Zulu.
However, they will also be new faces joining the circle of friends as Puleng introduces her cousin, Lunga. The crew will also find further evidence of what their friends were up to and what secrets they have kept for many years. There will be introducing more new faces like Pauline, Sam, and Zayd, and the drama does not seem to stop.
