The story around Senzo Meyiwa’s death has many twists and turns.
Senzo was shot to death in an alleged robbery while he was with his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, at her home in Vosloorus East of Johannesburg.
Senzo died in October 2014, and he was given a state funeral in the province of KwaZulu Natal.
Everyone affected by Senzo’s death has never received closure and lives on speculation only. It is still unclear how Senzo could be killed in a house with many witnesses, but there is still no clear indication of what happened.
His father, Sam Meyiwa, suffered a fatal stroke in 2019 while trying to make sense of and get justice for Senzo’s death.

The famous Soweto Derby scheduled for November 2914 was cancelled as a sign of respect after his death.
