It was a unanimous decision for Naakmusiq as he emerged a victor in the most anticipated boxing matches of the year. Sun City is the place to be tonight, and the fight between Cassper Nyovest and Naakmusiq has become the men of the hour.
The build-up to the showdown was delivered to a packed house. Celebrities like DJ Zinhle, Big Zulu, Minnie Dlamini, DJ Tira, and The River stars Matshepo Sekgopi and Galaketssng Koffman, to name a few.
The night was filled with performances and music. A few boxing matches were lined up as Curtain raisers to keep the audience excited for the main event.
The audience was seen dancing and having fun taking everything in. The numbers kept growing as the night grew, and as the night unfolded, so did the excitement. The first round went to Cassper Nyovest.
The fight started after 11 pm, and Cassper Nyovest started throwing serious punches at Naakmusiq from the first round. It didn’t look good at all for him.
Naakmusiq began to grow in strength in the second round, and then it became anybody’s fight.
The fight had some hilarious moments. In one of the rounds, the two fighters attempted to take a jab at one another, but both missed and fell.
Naakmusiq also had a moment where his exhaustion hit the better of him, and he ended up just standing with his hand on his waist to catch a breath.
NaakMusiq kept coming back strong as the fight grew in momentum. His punches grew stronger, and he started gaining control of the fight.
Naakmusiq and Cassper Nyovest worked for four months to build muscle and build their upper body strength.
It is worth noting that Cassper Nyovest and Naakmusiq are not professional boxers.
Professional boxers trained the guys. Cassper Nyovest was trained by Athenkosi Dumezweni who also got knocked out. Athenkosi was fighting Landile Gxeke for the SA Jnr Bantamweight. Naak was trained by Xolisani “Nomeva ” Ndongeni.
Celebrities and fans have congratulated Cassper and Naakmusiq for taking this tough decision and making it an entertainment show.
Cassper Nyovest took to his social media to congratulate NaakMusiq on his win and called him challenging. Radio and TV personality Robert Marawa gave Cassper his flowers. “Just what SA sport needed! A spark!!! He wrote.
Cassper wants to see Naak in the ring for a rematch.
