Watch: Mrekza from Generations The Legacy drops massive lines onstage.
Artist and actor Kope Makgae, who plays Mrekza on Generations The Legacy is a man of many talents; he spends his time in the studio making hits when he is not filming onstage.
Mrekza the Wang’kwishisha hitmaker is a versatile Amapiano artist who mixes traditional rape music with Amapiano and kwaito. Kope owns multiple educational and entertainment businesses, including Wyza Media Academy, the first Film and Television Academy with Studios for practicals and internships in Limpopo. Wyza TV is a social media & digital marketing channel, creating accessibility & frequency instead of the traditional marketing & entertainment mediums and Wyza studios he co-runs with friend and musician Simphiwe Vilakazi.

Speaking on balancing his acting time with studio time, Kope revealed that his manager and life partner Mpotseng makes it possible.
“Everything falls into place at the right time exactly as planned, and I take both of my careers seriously as I was born to entertain people. My pretty wife Mpotseng does all the planning and takes care of the business side of my career.”
Mrekza is a businessman both onset and offset; on Generations The Legacy, he jointly runs Mrekza’s lounge with Mazwi Moroka, the role played by Musa Ngema. His bubbly character onset helps him mesmerize fans onstage as he is named the “stage controller.”
