What seems like a dream has come true for award-winning star Nomcebo Zikode who performed her hit song Jerusalema in Jerusalem. She is slowly becoming an international star and has performed in many countries around the globe. Nomcebo visited Jerusalem for the first time in her life, and it was pleasant to be in a city so close to where Jesus was born.
Talking to Instagram, Nomcebo shared videos performing in Jerusalem and was optimistic about how her fans supported her despite her colour. The songstress shared performances at shows and met official people; she captured the highlights.
My musical journey has not always been a smooth one but you continue to open doors for me. I’ve never thought that one day I’ll perform right where Jesus was born and seeing people interacting the way they do without even understanding the language. Thank you Lord. Without a doubt, 2022 was a good year for Nomcebo Zikode as she had the opportunity to also perform in Romania and represent South Africa well.
Got to perform and be a part of the official tree lighting ceremony in Bethlehem [which] marks the beginning of the Christmas season, it is the first official Christmas tree lit around the world — right from the birth place of Jesus, Bethlehem. Besides being in Jerusalem to perform, Nomcebo can explore the country and get to know the place where Jesus did many miracles. Jerusalem is now of the most famous countries on the planet, and many people visit sites for tourism.
